Is this a CB C. niloticus? Snout looks more narrow than the ones in the wild I have seen. Is that the norm for ones raised in captivity or is it normal when they are young?
Michael
It was a CB animal. As the crocs age the head 'thickens' and looses a little of the narrow appearance. Although I think this is somewhat variable as some members of my group have broader snouts from the get go.
Sincerely,
CD

Sorry for not mentioning how nice the C. niloticus looked. Thank you for the clarification. Most of them I have seen in the wild or even in captivity (WC) were larger adults with fairly broad snouts. The younger ones tend to hide much more until they are out of danger of being killed or eaten themselves. Would that statement be acurate?
Michael
