Hello all,
I acquired a hatchling hog that eats live pinks voraciously. I would appreciate any suggestions for switching her to f/t pinks. I haven't tried the switch yet, but would like to have a couple tactics in mind.
Thanks!
Rose

Wow, she took one already. I was expecting more of a challenge.
When my adult male stopped feeding for a few months, I tried many of the suggestions made on this site. What ended up working was putting his food inside his hiding spot. Guess he just needed some privacy...
Same worked for that live - f/t switch. I just put the pink inside her hiding spot and next thing ya know it's gone...and she's fat!

Usually aggressive feeders will switch from live to ft readily... The farthest I've ever had to go to coax a live feeder to take ft is to use a pair of tongs and rub the ft pink on the hogs snout. She opened right up and ate it down.
Congrats on the successful switch!
