doompadoo Oct 21, 2005 03:22 PM

hey, I am new to breeding cresties and my first female reached a year this month, I have tried twice to introduce her to my male but both times he has attacked her. she is slightly smaller then the male but my understanding is they should still be ok... what am i doing wrong? btw when introducing them its in a new neutral tank so its not territorial so far as i know

how much does the female weight? It isn't just the age of the female that is important but her weight. She should be at least 30g with over 35g better. Also, if the male is overly aggressive I will wait till she catches up in size as well.

What is the aggression like? Some rough "foreplay" is natural. What exactly does he do to her?
