from the incubator, to the new home

hey I have kind of a funny question. OK. I am planning on breeding my cresteds when the time is right, I need equipment, etc. yet, but I am getting there. Anyway. When the little guys hatch out and are in the incubator, what is there temperment like? I mean when I take the lid off are they gonna make a mad dash at freedom, or when just born are they more scared then flighty. I was just thinking that in my experiance w/ young cresteds they are quite a challenge to catch sometimes, So i wanted to know what to expect w/ hatchlings. Also, what are the incubating temps? I have heard of people incubating cresteds at room temperature. Does anyone else do that?

i incubate mine at 74 degrees, and the baby geckos are typically very quick, and very jumpy until they are atleast several months old. sometimes they'll almost act dead on the first touch, and when you go to pick them up they'll just shoot off. they're not necessarily fast, just jumpy.

I plug up the drain and open their deli cup in the bathtub with their kritter keeper all ready. I open the deli cup inside of it and they usually jump right onto some fake vines. Normally mine are like the adults in that they go for a few inches or feet, then stop and reaccess their position. Generally they don't keep going.
