Agalychnis callidryas and Agalychnis moreleti

detrick105 Oct 22, 2005 09:34 AM

Hello I was wondering if these two types of frogs (A. callidryas & A. moreleti) could be kept together(Red Eye Tree Frog & Black Eye Tree Frog). Also is it possible to keep different types of Phyllomedusas together? Currently I keep all my frogs in seperate tanks.

1.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas (Red Eye Tree Frog)
1.0.0 Phyllomedusa bicolor (Giant Monkey Frog)
1.0.1 Phyllomedusa hypocondrialis (Orange Legged Monkey Frog)

Thanks for any info Steve

I honestly dont know much about the Black Eyed frogs, so I cannot answer the first part.. I will tell you that most people will say "no" no matter what to any mixing of species..
The Phyllomedusa's however, I can answer.. if you put them in the same tank.. the bicolor will have frog legs for dinner. It will certainly eat the tiger leg monkey.

Thanks for the quick reply. I keep my Red Eye Tree Frogs in a planted 45 gallon tank and the Tiger Legs in a planted 20 gallon tank and Giant Monkey Frog in a planted 75 gallon with a upside down 20 gallon over part of it. I'm just curious because I was just at a pet shop and they had A. callidryas and A. moreleti in the same tank.
