New to Bull breeding ???'s

mizzourah Oct 22, 2005 08:51 PM

This year will be my first attempt of breeding my pair of bulls. Is there a site with good hibernation/breeding info that anyone could suggest? I have found very little through past posts and google. How low do temps really need to be? Lower than 60 degrees will be a challenge in my basement.

Thanks for any help yo can offer.

60* or so at 90/100 days in the dark should do just fine imho. i discontinued totally 'hibernating' my snakes some years ago after discovering that mild cooling was all that was really necessary w/ most n/american colubrids. i found that they come out ready, willing & able but more importantly, bounce back much easier than when more deeply submerged. i also feel this route is significantly less risky to them and have employed it ever since. anyway, good luck next season & fill us in..........
