bodmodlover Oct 22, 2005 09:03 PM

I want a really red blood python. Who are some good breeders with really red snakes? Also would like some suggestions on blacks as well? Thanks a lot.

As far as Brongersmai goes, ask for pics of the parents, when you are looking for a red,and for Blacks......Angel.

Marter was being modest as he is an excellent breeder of reds. He probably has a waiting list as his animals are in very high demand. If you are interested you might get on the list now for upcoming clutches.

Ryan Norris has some very nice red bloods. Mike Eckert has some great looking Malaysian babies. Kara at Nerd always has some very nice stock. The Barkers at VPI have the reference standard for all collectors. Chad Brown has some nice critters. I'm missing about a dozen good people here. Many of the members of this forum produce nice red babies. All will have pictures of the parents and detailed records.

If you contact me off list I will give you contact info for a bunch of reputable people like those above.

Ive never seen any of them selling truly RED Blood pythons. It seems that the RED animals are usually random, imported, and difficult to breed.

Did you not see the pics he posted with that??? Those are some awesome Reds I would buy that pair in a heartbeat...I have seen a few people posting Reds they have picked up from all of those guys and they all look Red to me...

VPI Reds the Cherry Bomb type guess you missed these for sale....

While you can sometimes find RED babies, you have to keep in mind that the red color comes in as the animal matures...so those RED babies will be REALLY RED adults. As for the comment about random, imported, and difficult to breed - that's what you get when you buy imported adults...you get to see the coloring & have to deal with the rest.
