New Boas and Fresh Sheds...

wetceal Oct 22, 2005 11:51 PM

means NEW PHOTOS! I'm sure you all know how difficult it is to pass up a good photo session when there are a few newbies and some freshly shed boas too. Took a few photos today of some of our favorites.

We got in our two female Sharp Sunglows earlier and I was waiting for one of the girls to come out of shed before I posted some photos. I can't get over just how variable the Sharp Sunglows can be! All three that we have look totally different from each other and we are really excited to see how they'll change as they grow. Thanks Ron for these awesome animals!

All three together...

And I couldn't leave out our little Kahl Sunglow. He just shed not too long ago too and we don't want him to feel left out!

Here's a shot of the Kahl Sunglow with one of the Sharp Sunglows. The Kahl Sunglow is from the Burke's Lipstick line produced by Greg Van Zweden. Greg had one Lipstick in the litter. I think the Lipstick influence has a lot to do with this guy's intense coloration...

Here are a couple more new girls - some Anerys! I love the colors on these two!

And last but certainly NOT least - a few fresh shed photos of our Aztec! His red/pink coloration never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks for looking!

I ultrasounded her again about two weeks ago and the babies are smooshed together, up and down, in a tangle..........you can't tell where one ends and the next one begins. They look like thick spaghetti that moves!

Honestly, it's too overwhelming for me to think about...much, and I try to stay distracted by other stuff...like putting up hay for the winter, stringing more electric fencing, putting up another horse shelter, digging more post holes, etc....

She seems to be doing well, though, so I expect things will go OK, and she will go full term. I couldn't see anything that looked like slugs in the ultrasound, although I may have just missed them or didn't identify them as such. This will be my first experience seeing a live litter of my own on ultrasound and it is truly a learning experience. This last week and however long she goes over (if she does) will be hard on my nerves. I know many here can relate to that nervous, knot-in-the-stomach, anxious feeling

In Daytona I never stopped to look at a side by side comparison of Sharp Sunglow to Kahl Sunglow.
Thanks for posting a picture of Top examples of each together.

Ah and I love the Aztec also! My Arg X Col, is my "Poor mans, Aztec"

I think the Sharp sunglows are going to open up a whole new dimension in excellence!(as will the Aztecs!)
