As babies - it's pretty easy to tell (IMO) - but there are a lot of them that yellow up/ brown out as they age - and that is what causes the most confusion - people post their browned out axanthic which look salmost normal so others with normal adults that look similar think they might have an axanthic too. May be why there are soooo many unproven adult or WC axanthics.

Hi Guys (and gals)

Axanthic are tough as they get older... In person you can see the difference but in a photo they always look brown. A lot of it has to do with the lighting we use (regular house bulbs throw off a funky yellow tinge to the photo) To get a good adult axanthic photo, try direct sunlight with the flash on or use a photo blue bulb or sunlight bulb (kelvin 5500).

To do a Hunters Guide i will need:
(please include your full name and company name when you send pics for you will get credit in the guide)

1.A few good adult pictures of Axanthics (proven lines)
2.Baby pictures of VPI and Joliff line
3 A few unproven axanthic pictures

Please only send in focus pictures.

I will try to get on it tonight while the hurricane is here and i have nothing else to do . Hopefully the power will stay on and you will all know what an Axanthic is tommorow lol =)

Thanks
Jon
