Gulf coast boxies

Are gulf coast boxies hard to keep. I am not p[lanning on getting one anytime soon. I am just interested in them. How do they differ from Easterns or Three Toeds?

They are much more aquatic than Three Toeds and Easterns, and they get bigger.
