Well i made it to the bloomington show and just got back. There were no leaftails, but i did manage to find the leaftail gecko book by svatek and van duin (its out of print now right?). i also met and talked to Philippe de Vosjoli and finally got some roaches for my linnieatus and other leaftails as well as a couple of cresties. i had alot of fun but i want to go to a bigger one now!

i went to a show by a relatively new organizer in columbia, sc this weekend, and wasnt impressed. not only was it the complete lack of leaftails, but the lack of geckos in general, and even lizards in general. all i really saw as far as that went was leopard geckos, marbled geckos, and bibron's geckos. one vendor had cresteds, most tailless otherwise not too impressively colored. plenty of snakes, mostly venomous, and a few turtles. really not too much diversity in what was being offered though. drove 2 hours to get there, and stayed for maybe 20 minutes. i was pretty disappointed, usually i drop way more cash than i plan to at these shows, but i didnt drop a dime except for what i paid to get in. hopefully the show in greenville this coming weekend will be better. a new shipment of leaftails is due in real soon too, so hopefully that will work out in time.

that suck. i want to go to a bigger show maybe daytona. course i will probably have to drive there and back cause i would buy so much...
