Woma breeders, I need opinions asap! pleeeeeeeeeze

Nokturnel Tom Jul 21, 2003 03:27 PM

I have a pair 18 months old and theyre a little over 4 foot. They have been off feed and act like theyre in breeding mode. The drink but won't eat. They crawl around a lot almost daily. And now the female has what looked like a lump similar to what she looks like after eating. I live in TX and was going to cycle them when the weather starts to cool. I am wondering if it is possible that she is ovulating? If so should I cool them and try to breed them soon? If she has follicles now will she lay an infertile clutch if she is not bred? There's always 2 sides to this Woma breeding, those who swear wait 3 years and others who claim to hatch perfect babies and still have healthy females from ones bred at 18 to 24 months. I was shooting for the 24 mark. Please let me know what you think. Thanks Tom

It seems like info on breeding Womas is a top secret subject. Of all the snakes I keep these guys are the hardest to get answers for. It would be great to hear from anyone. Thanks Tom
