Can anyone ID this snake for me???(kina long)

Jaysonj Oct 23, 2005 07:40 PM

Im sorry for not having pics but I was hoping someone could ID this snake for me and hopefully show me some pic's so I can see if its the right one.

Well a month ago I was looking for a snake and went to a pet store (I know bad IDEA!). Anyway the store had a variety of snakes to choose from. They had one snake that caught my attention, It was as green as a kiwi split in half, maybe neon green but a little more green than lime. Also when the guy held it in his hand the snake looked like a hatchling (maybe?),its mouth was bubble gum pink. To be even more weird it ate fish! When the guy had it in his hand another person that worked there took a feeder baby goldfish from a tank and the snake instantly chomped down on it. Also to be more specific the snake was like a vine almost but im pretty sure it was not malnourished. The guy said he would grow to about 4 feet if I can remember correctly.

Sorry this was so long and boring but can someone ID this snake for me? i can't go back to that store because my ex girlfriend works their and it would be to unconfortable. Maybe I can order it if I knew what species it was. can someone post pic's of what it might be?

It may be a type of asian vine snake. It may be a rough green snake, but the pink mouth throws me off

I haven't tried feeding any to mine, but I know a dealer that feeds them to the WC rough greens he sells.
