young eastern yellow-bellied racer feeding.

chinaski Oct 23, 2005 08:07 PM

just the other day, i ran across a juvenile eastern yellow-bellied racer and decided to take him home. the first evening he eagerly ate some crickets but he's still too small for pinkies. does anyone have any suggestions for any other food sources for this guy? i had a northern banded water snake that readily devoured tadpoles, but i'm not sure if a racer would have any interest. any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

I cut frozen pinky mice for my baby. One pinky for 3 or 4 snakes depending of pinky and snake size
