They are not ravenous snake eaters by nature, but this doesn't mean they can't or won't under the right (or wrong) conditions.

In general, adults that have been raised in captivity can be housed together with very little risk. I said little. Not 0% risk.

I've never seen a baby nelsoni or sinaloae eat a cagemate, but the ones I've housed together for awhile were all clutchmates. But still, I would be cautious with babies.

i was looking for a good snake to make hybrids with, would i have to be careful while breeding? ive heard of some kings and milks that will eat anything in the cage regardless of sex or species

Cal kings are the ones to watch out for. If a female Cal king is in breeding mode, she's fine. If not in breeding mode, she may be in feeding mode. You'll know in about 2 seconds..

Milksnakes are pussycats next to getula (i.e. Cal kings, desert kings, Florida kings, etc.)

what about eastern milks?, i love them.
