A funny/sad thing happened to me...

purduecg Oct 24, 2005 07:30 AM

So, I was running errands over the weekend, and went to Petsmart to pick up heat lights (ya ya I know there are cheaper ways but I am a creature of habit). I got back into the car to mark the task off of my to-do list and realized I had written it down as "get heat lights for Archie". Now, for those of you who do not know/remember, I had to put Archimedes down a couple of months ago. I had been wandering around all day looking at the list and it never even sunk in! Poor Mosca, still being shadowed by his big brother. I corrected the name, and then crossed off the task, but I felt like a horrible mother for a bit afterwards, lol. I wonder if Mosca will need counseling! lol.

Isn't it funny how hard it is to let these guys leave? After all, they are "just lizards" right? Man how I still miss the little booger.

thats the way I see it ! Thats a shame, but I totally understand. I'm sure Mosca does too

I had a large ciclid fish ( a big oscar) I had him for 8 years, watched him grow from a tiny lil fishy into a huge guy who would go crazy when he caught site of ya walking near his tank He would eat out of my hand. Actually put his head out of the water to take something. Just an awesome beautiful fellow.

I cried my heart out for that dang big yellow fish and miss him still after 2 years. I have called another fish his name a few times by mistake, becuase he (Googles) is still on my mind , somewhere, even though I don't physically try and think about him! He was COOL.

So my point, a pet is a loved critter, not JUST a fish or lizard, or whatever.

It's good Archie was so LOVED !
