We got it bad here! No power (I am at my boyfriends house who has a huge generator that runs practically his whole home). Trees down everywhere, we had a tree fall on our shed (lost all kinds of tools, lawn mower, pressure cleaner.) Our screen enclosure is the only one in our fairly big neighborhood that is still standing (and we didnt lost any screen!! Maybe because it was just replaced 2 months ago from last years storms...yes, it took THAT long to get someone to do it.) We have a small generator that runs our refrigerator, tv, and reptile heat (lamps for the bearded dragons & heat tape/cable for the ball pythons). No flooding, there was a lot less rain than I thought we were going to get. Got pretty scary there for a little while, I stood out on either the front or back porch for a good portion of the last half of the storm...saw all kinds of things flying through the air. I have been driving around, there's a couple trailer parks around town, one home in particular lost the whole roof. It's intact, laying beside the road, just incredible...like it was peeled off like a top to a tuna can. You really can't imagine the power of these storms until you have seen it all first hand. Pictures and video show a lot, but you really can't respect it until you've been through it. Now we didn't get anything near what has happened in other parts of the country this year, we were very lucky. Hope everyone else that was in Wilma's path is safe! Take care!
