Ok here are the pics of the big Alligator from Mississippi

RussBates Oct 24, 2005 01:23 PM

As many of you know I recently returned from working in Mississippi with my Seabees and we adopted a friendly little pet while we were deployed. This alligator lived in a large retention pond near our camp. Prior to pulling chocks on the last day of our deployment I managed to snap some pics of us feeding this big gator some raw chicken.....just like th Croc Hunter

I estimate this alligator was 12-13 feet long. His head was larger than my torso both in length and width and I am 6' and 165 lbs.

Enjoy,
Russ

Thanks for sharing the pic's. Being a Louisiana native I really enjoy alligator pictures. They are one of my favorite's. Very beautiful. BTW if you estimate the number of inches from the eyes to the nostrils this will give you an approximate length in feet from head to tail.
Thanks again

Your gonna have to repost this on the "Big Honkin Alligator" forum. Oh wait, never mind, I see that double hypo, het for two headed rutheni under the water there in the second pic. My bad.

BTW isn't it kind fun messing around with a critter that could eat you in just a couple of bites if it really wanted to. All you gotta do is have some spare chicken laying around to distract them long enough for you to get outta there and grab yer camera. Cool pics Russ. Thanks fer sharing
