Nice PIC of my coiled milk snake (Mexican?) (Jalisco?) (other?)

wpglaeser Oct 24, 2005 06:43 PM

The snake that's been crapping all over me is finally settling down with regular handling. Today I let him kind of crawl on my finger and picked him up. He still musked (or peed?) on me (liquid), but didn't fling poop.

He seemed to like my warm hands, and eventually I was able to hold him like this for the first time! I'm psyched!

P.S. I still need votes on whether this was a Jalisco (as advertised) or a Mexican, Nelson, Pueblan, whatever... the breeder's no help.

Thanks!

Walt

He has the same coloration as an Apricot Pueblan.

Something I read said Jalisco's can be pale yellow, but mine is a deep yellow/gold.

Also, the book says they can start out white and yellow with age. Mine's yellow already.

No disrespect Shannon, I know your the milkman and all, but it looks like a cross, just a gut feeling. Something seems different about it, like it's got a little sin in it.

I agree I have a ruthvens and thats not a pure Ruthven is ruthven in it at all.
Might be mex/pueblan or mex/ruthven or who knows but nice looking.
