I have a friend in the UK who is dumping his collection. Anyone interested in a pricelist... email me directly.

It's probably your loss. There are plenty of breeders who don't use the selling resources available to them online. Word of mouth, friend of a friend, this is how things likely got do before the internet.

And even though it's a pretty small country, I think there is enough room in the UK for a pretty large number of tortoises.

>>i have replied to this message and got a huge long list of tortoises for sale in $. I am from the uk and why would anybody by selling them in $ and why arnt they adverising them on Uk web sites? I know all the UK web sites that sell tortoises and i have never seen this person advertising and where would he keep all thease tortoises in the UK??? Scam

In my search for an adult marginated female, scammers from the UK have tried to sell me one of their "in-hand" females. EJ's post was not a scam, as far as I can tell. He is highly reputable, and is a regular poster on this forum. Be careful who and what you bash! -Larry in NYC

Thanks for the laugh... seriously.

The collection belongs to the owner of Prestige pets. The prices are in Euros because most of the collection is in Spain.

The intent was to sell the whole collection (which, btw, has been done) in one shot.

I mentioned it here because I know there are a few people from the UK who frequent this list. I also wanted to provide a unique opportunity for those living in the UK to obtain some tortoise that are normally hard (in the UK) to obtain.

If you individually approched the person selling the collection he probably wouldn't give you the time of day but I was willing to act as a go between to benefit the buyer and seller. (I was willing to do this in the name of networking... not money...I too ask myself why do I do this.)

Before 2 years ago the entire collection WAS in the UK. I did get a chance to see it and that is why I was willing to recommend the animals.

The tortoise looks like it is doing fantastic. I'll bet it's happy (if a tortoise can be 'happy'
