Today's Litter!! Salmon Overflow!!!! Start to finish pics inside!

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 21, 2003 05:02 PM

Well we had a great litter this morning of Salmons, we were up to watch the entire birthing! The litter is from our female Colombian we call 'Peachy'. She is just a nice peach colored Colombian female we have had for years. She birthed 101 days after her P.O.S. and had a wopping 44 babies total, of which 24 are Salmons and 20 are normals, with only two sluggs! The funny thing is she had her babies on the same day 7/21 last year! We got some great pics of the birth from start to finish! A litter like this is like having two litters in one!

Hope you like the pics and thanks for looking!

Got Bats?

AbsoluteApril Jul 22, 2003 11:20 AM

did she birth them in that tub or did you move them all
into it after? She doesn't crush the babies like that?
Awsome tho, and so many!! Congrats!
(that first pic is priceless!)

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 22, 2003 11:33 AM

She birthed in the tub and did not crush a single baby. The majority of our females all birth in a tub on the cool end of the cage. We actually have never had a female crush or hurt a single baby.
The first pic is our favorite also!
Thanks,
Mike & Stephanie
