Using Clay in Cage?

tanias16 Oct 25, 2005 05:47 PM

Is there any reason that it would be unadvisable to make hides out of clay, fire it, and then use it in our leopard gecko cage?

I don't see why not. My gecko has a hide that is apparently made of clay... plus, I see many feed bowls made of clay. I don't know if the hide needs to be coated with anything first, though.
