subspecies

Can someone tell me how the different common subspecies of boa constricters are with regaurd to adult size and temperment.

I understand that how much you feed them affects their size and that all snakes are capable of biting and that i should consider getting one if i am afraid of being bit. However, i just wanna know which would stay relativly smaller and be nicer. boas seem cool. 5-6 feet would be ideal

with 5-6 feet as your idea adult length, i would suggest looking into some of the dwarf species. hog islands are the first that come to mind, but there are others like cay caulkers and such. i have not worked with any of these species so i can not help you on temperment, but from what i have read they seem to be just like all others in the family with reports of temperment ranging across the scale. deffinately read up on the dwarf boa species as they are your best bet to go along with your size desire.
