Possible shell rot... Please help me.

thaxium Oct 25, 2005 07:16 PM

I suspect my turtle may have shell rot. I have had him for only 3 days, a friend bought him for me from a large pet store. I suspected something might be wrong with his shell from day one, and upon looking into it, i found shell rot or something like it might be the culprit. Please help me, I have fallen in love with my little Kome and I want the best for him.

i vet is what he really needs. find one that has dealt with turtles before, if it doesnt say so in the yellow pages, just start calling them and ask if they do reptiles. good luck.

Definitely looks like shell rot. Find a good vet and make sure he is basking in a uvb/uva light.
