Who's got the biggest Western Hog?

apexpredator01 Oct 26, 2005 02:15 AM

What is the biggest Western Hog you've ever seen? A buddy of mine has a 2003 animal that is a TOAD! Female obviously, but for only being two years old she's already 445 grams! She's a beast! Here's a photo on the scale!

Is that lystrophis pulcher? I'm not very able to differentiate l.pulcher from l.semicinctus or l.matogrossensis. Any have a method?

It is a Pulcher, and I dont think anyone has a possitive ID semicinctus or matogrossensis. if someone does I would like to see it to compare it to the Pulcher !!

Jim,

The more I hear about the differences you have had from us I'm starting to wonder. The parents of ours are from the Denver Zoo, and supposedly L. Semicinctus!! I'm not saying that's the case, but starting to believe it a little more now!

can you post or email me some good pics of yours so I can see if I can see any differences? or are there pics in your photo gallery? I will look and see. lets see if we can find out for sure. Im not sure were any of mine originally came from but I think they are Pulcher. anyone else with info fill free to help us out as well. thanks.

Some tri colors actually fade into "Bicolors" losing most of the red. Jim have you ever come out of the egg like this? I had one this year that came out SUPER dark. Now she is Black and white like a cal king...Can't say I normally like the two colored look, but she is BAD *SS. I don't think she's going anywhere! I'll try and get some pics up soon!
