Cost for captive bred matamata

SalS Jul 21, 2003 06:18 PM

I'm doing a research paper on matamatas. Does any know how much CAPTIVE BRED matamatas sell for? These have to be confirmed captive bred, not imported hatchlings. If no one knows, but you are trying to breed matamatas how much would you sell your hatchlings for?

Thanks!

I think matamatas have only been truly captive bred a couple of times, mostly by zoos. So it's hard to put a price on something that doesn't really exist in the market. A lot of 'cb' matamatas are really just captive hatched. If I had them I'd start at $800 and see if anyone would pay that .
