thanks for the good site its pretty informative and has lots of nice pictures..
i do have a question concerning their temperament. I own bearded dragons and snakes right now so biting isnt a real issue with me but cuz my beardie used to constantly bite me when he was younger but im just curious cuz i do like to handle my animals and interact with them and im just wondering if collared lizards are pretty friendly pets

thanks for the help

Hi,
Most are VERY friendly and don't bite or resist capture. Sometimes wild caught ones can be unhandleable. I had a wild caught one that didn't like you to even put your hands in the aquirium, but I know people on here that have wild caughts that are very tame. Is it wild caught or bought? Do you know the speceis? Do you have any pictures(we like to see lots of collared pics).

As a whole, I think collared lizards are the BEST pets--which is why I have all but stopped keeping other kinds of lizards these days. I have had many, many different kinds, and none have been as easy to handle as my collareds.
