I just noticed my tokay's eye is extremely swollen. The skin around the socket is puffed up like a balloon. It's eye is fine and I can't see what caused it just from looking at it. It does look like it may have a couple orange specks (mites?) around it though. They aren't moving and there are only a couple just around the eye. What can I do to get the swelling down? Would it be safe to put medicated drops (like Visine) on its eye? I know that's what the vet had us do for my dog recently when he had an infection, but I don't know how safe it would be for the gecko. Thanks,

Wow, long time no talk. Why did you get banned? Man I leave for a year and chaos reigns. Anyway, I have not run into this problem before, BUT i have heard that parasitic infections can travel under the skin and create swelling. Only way to know for sure is get him into the vet. Good luck!

I kinda got into an argument with the admins on another forum and then it followed into an argument with 'the big guy.' He got pretty childish and banned me saying I was asking him to do it so yeah. Feel free to drop me an email at GB2000@woh.rr.com

The tokay appears to have mouthrot and I think that's what is causing the swelling. Any ideas on treatments?
