How much did your homemade cages cost to build and compared to the trough, what is a better deal and easier to care for?

The troughs hands down, (for tegus);..the melamine cages work well, IF you get the good stuff(thermal fused)I think they call it, and not the stuff that is like contact paper, my melamine cages are made out of 3/4" 4'by 8' sheets(VERY HEAVY)they are hard to build alone, but they can take a lot of weight, I built mine into the wall studs, I would highly recomend the troughs for tegus...
