Humidity Prob

Alright, my friend gave me his 2 year old female ball python i have had her for about 1 and a half months and have fed her 3 times. Now when i first got her, she just finished shedding. but ever since she has been in my house she hasnt shed. her habitat is a 50 gallon aquairium, she is sat by a window (i live in az by the way),the top is something my grandfather made out of wood, its just like a top that flips open with a latch and a 1'x1' square with screen where i keep the heat light on. i use a humidifier which i think doesnt work cuz it looks really cheap which has a hose that i put in her little dwelling area (a plastic terocotta pot with a doorway cut in the front. i have that coconut bedding, a heatpad on the bottom a big water dish, a branch and a little tunnel, placed over the heating pad. I occasionally spray the tank down with water, but i think its the bedding because it dries up in 2 mins, so i am thinking of trying new bedding and getting a better humidifier, and suggestions (brand names, products, techniques, anything)? thank you

p.s. sorry its long but i figured i should tell every detain cuz i dunno what im talking about.

Cypress mulch holds humidity very well without the mess...
There is no way to tell the humidity without measuring it especially in hotter climates like AZ, you need a gauge inside the enclosure. 50% is fine, then raise it to 70-80% during shed.
BTW- A 2 year old BP does NOT shed as often as a baby. Best Wishes,
