All of mine do at some point in the year. Most are off-feed now.

I have a 1 year old female @ 1,000 grams. She just completed her first fast. It lasted for 25 days. It started to freak me out a little after the first couple of weeks but after reading other posts about some 6 and 7 month fasts I put my mind at ease and continued to attempt a feed once a week like always and if she did'nt eat than I just took it out and waited till the next week and tried again. She finally ate yesterday. I have to say that it was much easier when I stopped worrying about it. As long as you keep the tank clean, keep good temps and clean water available they will eat when they are ready to eat. I think I finally understand. So dont worry and good luck.
