Substrate, Cypress....how about....

Hemlock?

I was looking for untreated Cypress at Home D. and noticed they had Hemlock. I have never heard anyone mention if Hemlock is safe for snakes.

There may be more than one type of Hemlock but as far as I know Hemlock is poisonous if ingested.

although I would like to feed some people each kind to make sure....LOL

.Hemlock is a huge and beautiful pine tree with small needles and small cones.....about as long as the word cone....well...maybe a little bigger...I........I how about that long.....Lol..........they have kept me dry more than once while trout fishing or deer hunting......and no...I wasn't really asleep under it I just blinked really long......

....still a pine......I'd say NO...don't use it......
