Whenever I put crickets into Dante's cage they always seem to end up in his hide spot and never come out. I think he eats them, but I can never really tell for sure. He will, however, eat both mealworms and wax worms out of a bowl whenever I leave them out. I've heard that mealworms are fine for tegus, but what about wax worms? I've heard that they are nothing but fat and should be used only as a treat, but I've also heard that they make a wonderful primary food source. What do you guys think?
