I've seen some that were close to that, BUT not that good! They are aberrancies. It would be nice to breed 2 of those just like each other to see what the outcome would be.

Nice and clean group. I have always liked the variety in their clutches.
This past season, I paired my two best tri-stripe kings together as I did last season. Last season 70% of the first clutch hatched out as miniatures of the adults with not a banded in the group. Second clutch though hatched out all aberrants. This season 70% hatched out banded with the remainder being aberrant. Now, I paired some bandeds I held back from high whites a few years back, this season. I held these back because they were so clean that it was hard not to. They produced not a single banded LOL. All aberrants and striped.
With all the changes in the herp keeping world during the years we have been working with herps we have kept many other types of herps. Actually ran thru the gamet of things and projects during the past 30 years. These kings have always remained. We work with 3 types of herps these days exclusively. California Kings have always been something we have enjoyed working with and probably will continue to do the same for the remainder of our herping days.
Attached is a pic of another I wish I could get more of. This individual was not produced from our stock and too bad I can not find where she did orginate from. Super large with the patterns and color that resemble a jungle carpet. I hear these are now floating around in some California collections but I have yet to acquire any others.

Hello, in the old days, we called those blackbacks, started hatching them in the early seventies. Have old slides around somewhere, if I could just get that slide converter to work. Thanks FR
