blizzard(real leucistic) ?

forkit Oct 27, 2005 06:08 PM

i happened upon a real leucistic, or blizzard leopard, no spots or bands whatsoever. a consistent light purple(right after shed) color, with normal eyes. i have no idea if she is homogeneous or het.

i want your suggestions as to a relatively cheap(under $100) morph icould breed her with to make interesting offspring. just sugesstions. i may get 2 males and alternate them between clutches. ive read up on the genetics and possibilites but want some advice from real experts.

These would be your best bet...

Blizzard x Blizzard = Blizzards
Blizzard x Albino = Normals het Blizzard Albino (Blazing Blizzard)

I would suggest a Bell or Rainwater/Las Vegas Albino for the het Blazing Blizzard crossing.

Please take into account if the female is not Het for anything, breeding her to any Recessive mutation but what she expresses will produce normal offspring...

NOTE: It is highly unlikely that alternating 2 males between clutches will be realistic. A female retains her sperm from one breeding and uses that sperm to produce the clutches she will lay during a season. Also, it would be very difficult for you to identify the father of a particular hatchling (unless it's rather obvious like a BlizzardxBlizzard crossing).
