corkbark leaftail queston and tsd in phants?

uroplatusguy Oct 28, 2005 04:22 PM

has anybody with a breeding pair of pietershmanni noticed if females guard eggs? i was just wondering because my female corkbark hasent moved from this one spot for at least 36 hrs. i know she is alive but she isnt interested in food or anything. i will check on her spot later tonight. also does anybody know if there is a hint that phants can be tsd? i seem to get alot of males.14 eggs and 6 males 4 females. two (1.1) died died the same day though and the rest either died in egg, werent ready to hatch or were infertile). just wondering if anybody else has this problem/ interesting quirk.i dont think it can be genetic because it has been two different females and males that this happens to. just wondering and thanks for any input.

ive pondered over the question myself. i have produced a total of 10 offspring, with only 2 turning out to be female, and those are only from this past season and have a while to go before im certain.

as for the female corkbarks, i dunno, but i have noticed my female will get lazy time to time and doesnt move much. other times shes all over the place.
