I also wanted to know if anyone could tell my a rough age estimate? Its a bit of a radical request because I cant get a pic yet because my scanners broke, but her length is about the same size as the width of my hand (minus the thumb). Then her tail is about 1 1/2 times the length of her body. She had no colouring yet except a little tiny bit of oranger brown spots between her brown and light brown spots. Not that that has to do with any age thing? Well thanks if ya can help and even if you cant. Im new to lizards and love my collared girl, so any advice you just feel like ya wanna throw out there I wont get offended or anything like that.

Well Im off.

Michele

Ok, I just wanted to know if its normal for my new lizard to not allow me to hold her. I can hold her but I know she doenst want me to. How long does it usually take for them to tame down. I hold her a little intermitantly throughout the day to try and get her used to it.

Shes sounds very pretty, we love all collareds here, and pics, too , It's very hard to figure the age of a collared based on the length, they vary so much in size, shape and weight. I will say by the way you describe her, shes a juvey or older. They don't fully mature, as far as size and color until they are 2 1/2 to 3 years old anyway. So you have plenty of time with her, as long as she stays healthy !!! Hey nice to meet you, remember to post those pics, hehehheheh, later, Eve
