I think my turtles just mated!

Hello everyone, my name is LeAnn and I have two red Eared Sliders by the names of Torte & Dill. Torte is a female a little over a year odl i believe and Dill is a male just under a year. Trote is quite a bit larger then Dill, but he seems to liek the large ladies. I got Torte from someone who coudlnt take care of her anymore when she was about the size of a silver dollar. I was workign at a pet store at teh time and a few weeks later we got in a back of baby r.e.s and I wanted to bring home a Pal for torte. Luckily they hit it off pretty well. And now too well!! I didnt know their sexes til just a couple months ago when i noticed hot fat and long Dills tail was compared to tortes and his front claws were longer. He actually scared us really bad by bleeding one time out of his tail a while back but hes been fine since then.
Well anyway!!! To get to the point, I was coming on the forums to ask about this dance like thing Dill was doing to get Tortes attention. He Always does it at feeding time and sometimes in the tank as well. He puts his front legs right in Tortes face and tries to keep her face there and touches the tip of his nose to hers. I just noticed that He actually shakes them really quickly like vibrating his claws rigth in her eyes! And While i was registering I glanced down again and he was on top of her! Tail curled under and everything! I read online somewhere that red eared sliders dont reach sexual maturity til about 5 years of age so I wasnt worrying about turtle babies, but now i think i should!
This is my first real expereince owning turtles and ive definitly never bread them, so what do I do now?? Could she be pregnant? I should have posted sooner!

Thank you for your help, any advice/insight will be helpful!

Peace Harmony

~LeAnn

It is highly unlikely that the a female turtle so young would produce offspring. In fact -- she may not even be a female. Dill is just showing signs of maturity. He may have "connected" but most likely went through the motions. Your female would not lay eggs until she is over 7-8 inches in shell length.

i seriously doubt it if they under 6"...they're kids, let em have fun. he'd be too immature there for his little soldiers immature and her, being a kid herself she wont make eggs yet.
