Keith Hillson Oct 29, 2005 12:30 PM

I was going thru Will Still's pics today and I found this oldie but goodie. Its a pic of my male as a week or 2 old hatchling from 2003. Now he is measuring 52" and still growing.

Very very nice indeed Keith. I need to get another GA male. I had 2 males from Will... The first one died mysteriously just out of the blue, so he gave me another one. And the 2nd one was doing good, was eating all the time, but when it got cold like 2 months ago he just stopped. I figured he just stopped because it was cold, but like a week ago I found him dead in his cage. Total length about 26".

I just got the adult female from you rid of mites. She's still feeding.

Not a good year for me to the least bit....

Just to clarify you didnt get that snake from with mites, that girl was clean as a whistle. Im assuming they came from another one of your captives ??? Bummer on the 2nd male thats real odd. Maybe you have something going on in your collection ??? Worth looking into anyway.

I think I said something wrong in the other post or I failed to note.... When I got the snake from you it didn't have mites. Half of my collection caught them, and she was one of those... but she's all better now.

With the males it is odd... Back when the first one died there was still the "crypto" disease in my collection, but he showed absolutely no signs of it. He had just eaten a week before he died, 2 pinky mice I think. Then a week later I put 2 pinkies near him, and he moved a bit, a couple hours later he was dead. Very odd.

I'm having a really bad year snake-wise... failed breedings, failed with eggs, escapes, diseases, just a bad year for me.
