I'm 90% sure now that you have male. In this shot you can really see the bulges at the base of the tail. I would have loved to have this pic to compare with my monitor.

Is it my imgination or do I not see any substrate in that cage? If so, your depriving your Argus of one of it's fav. activities which is digging.

The bottom of the cage isn't in the pictures, he has a foot of peat moss do dig in.

I think you're just seeing the "seam" between the top section and the bottom section of the enclosure
