I can't help you out much except to tell you how I keep my young pair. I have them in a 40 gallon tall tank for now with a substrate of sand mixed with ground coconut husks. They have wood to climb and a couple of hides on the bottom of the enclosure. Their temps range from a basking temp of 100/105 to low ambients of 65 at night. They are fed a good Green Iguana diet daily and get a few bugs a couple of times a week. They seem to be growing slowly but I believe that is normal (at least I hope it is).
My pair are quite shy and quick to hide when I get close. If I keep my distance they are active and fun to watch. They are fairly small yet so I don't handle them very frequently. They are interesting, beautiful little lizards and I enjoy keeping them.
Thanks so much for the reply.
How slowly are they growing?
How big are they actually supposed to get. I've seen sizes from 12" total length to 12 inch SVL.
Thanks
Nate
