Bonnie is a yearling (July/August 04) hypomelanistic
BCI. She was bred by and purchased from Gulf Coast
Reptiles. She was produced by a hypo x normal
breeding and comes from Rich Ihle stock a couple of
generations back. Chris and Sheila at Gulf Coast
Reptiles have been selectively breeding their normals
for their peach coloration as well as breeding the
hypo gene back into Colombians for size, temperament
and ease of care. You can definitely see evidence of
this in her. We've been handling her since she was
six months old and she is tame as can be!
Bonnie was selected because her perfect and unbroken
bowtie saddles will hopefully go well with the
arabesque trait resulting in salmon colored hypo
arabesques with thin and unbroken saddles. Clyde, the
05 arabesque, has already been purchased. Keep your
fingers crossed and hopefully we'll be seeing their
first litter in the spring of '08!

Hey, THANKS, Panama Red!
It was our first one. I think we're starting to get the hang of it...
VERY much appreciated!

Thank you!

It took us a couple of tries, but we finally figured out how to get her up there! (As you can see, we posted the other 3 up as well. We have picture posting fever!)

Also, as I am a VERY novice picture taker and you are very helpful with these postings, do you have any suggestions on how to make the colors vibrant and accurate with a standard-quality digital camera? Or should I just go ahead and upgrade?

Thanks!

there's only one thing you can do to make your pics better!

and that is: PRACTICE!!!

seriously though, you can read through your manual, play with settings and lighting, check out some online photo forums or websites, and basically just shoot all day long! the wonderful thing about digital is that you don't have to pay for film processing before you find out if your pics are decent or not, you can just keep deleting and reshooting!

have fun!

Thanks! I am sure I'll have a great time with this, and hopefully the posted images will reflect the "practice!"
