if i use paper towel or newspaper i have to take every thing out including each gecko, replace paper and put everything back so is there another substrate that will not cause impaction?i need something a little easier, scince i have now 6 leo's.

It's as simple as: Any Loose Substrate = Increased chance of impaction

You won't find many people on here that use any kind of loose substrate. The popular safe substrates are slate tile, repti-carpet, papertoweling & non-adhesive shelf liner. I myself use a combo of repti-carpet & slate tile in all 5 of my setups.
