a guy up north (cali.) named Aaron.
They're F1's from W/C parents.

Hi I am the guy that produced those and collected the parents several years ago. The male was silver with a pink head and at what I estimate to be 5 years old still retained his pink head and much of his juvenille blotches which were yellow in color. He also kept his silver color and developed yellow in between the scales. The female was a gorgeous blue gray. She lost her blotches by about age 4 and was then the beautiful blue gray with bright orange in between the scales. By age 7 the blue was pretty much gone and she was then a darker gray but still with the contrasting bright orange. Since they were both subadults when collected I don't think I could be more than a year off on the ages.
Unfortunatly I also had to sell the adults this year so I could devote more space to my primary intrest, alterna. As I understand it they went to a import/export guy who was going to ship them to Japan.
The cool thing about wc and F1's IMO is that you can produce an array of phenotypes and take them in any direction you want.
Since I have been going to TX now for 9 years with no end in sight I suppose if I want to get back into Baird's I will be able to collect another pair pretty easily.
I am glad Byron got that pair and I hope he keeps us posted here about them.

Byron, that's a stunning Bairds. The silver sheen with the splash of color is stunning. I have a bandera county male. I'll post a pic or two a little later.

Steve
