Will Cresties Eat Gargoyle/Leachianus Diets?

tasiamay Oct 30, 2005 09:20 PM

I am currently feeding my Crestie collection CGD (which they all eat with gusto). I have noticed that the Gargoyle & Leachie diets have more protein. I am working on getting their weight up so I can begin breeding them safely. Will Cresties eat either of the above mentioned diets?

I know some will eat the gargoyle diet but it's not as sweet so you might have to mix it with fruit baby food and I'm not sure how that affects the extra protien

Yes - they will eat the GGD just fine.

I would suggest NOT mixing it with the fruit baby food. When you mix it with fruit baby food, all you are is making them fat, with less benefit than the GGD gives. GGD is a complete, balanced diet. Nothing else is needed. Fat herps aren't necessarily healthy herps.

IF they are hungry - they will eat the diet.

I feed all of my cresteds and gargs exclusively on the gargoyle gecko diet. I recommend that you either continue the CGD or feed the GGD. The leachie diet just has more fiber. Do not mix it with babyfood.
