Regurditation, please help!!

skyclad Oct 31, 2005 09:21 AM

My ETB seems to be regurditating every other meal. My day time temps are 82 degrees and 80% humidity and at night it's 80 degrees and 75% humidity. She is a year old so I am feeding her hoppers. I have no idea what is wrong. I just got her like 3 weeks ago.

If you got her 3 weeks ago, how many times have you fed her? Our yearlings are fed every 14 days, with no more than 3 meals without a bowel movement. If you are trying to feed every week, that is way to often. Even neonates are only fed every 10 days.

in addition to what Craig said, do not feed her for at least 2 weeks after any regur and offer the smallest meal she can handle. also make sure there is a temp gradient....My cages have a gradient of 76-85 daytime and 75-78 nighttime. I believe regurge is also encouraged by too high a temp and not enough ventilation (too much stagnant humidity). It is very sad to watch an ETB die of regurg.....I also have used the Probiotic (Bean Farm) and I am not sure that it helped but I would use it again if I had to.
