i think i may have asked you this before but i forgot what you said ,im sorry, but what size ceramic heater do you use?? i bought one yesterday for a new enclosure and i didnt know what size to get, there is nothing on the box that says size tank its for and besides that, since my snake will be sitting up high on his perch.right next to the heater,i may be able to get away with a smaller one.id say the current size is the same size(volume)as a 29 gallon tall.got a reccomondation??i bought the smallest one,and it only brings the temp up to 79.8,should i get the next size up or should i skip a size and get the second next size??

I think I got the highest one, and with the thermostat, it works perfectly. I got one of those safety ones for the new baby and it just does the trick for the small rubbermaid enclosure, but I don't think it will do it for when Whisper moves up to something bigger.

can you use a rheostat with those as well??? the largest size???you dont know the watts??

I think it's a 100 watt or something like that. I can't read the wattage while it's plugged into the holder and I don't want to take it out.

You can use a rheostat, but I would suggest a decent proportional or on/off thermostat that doesn't let the temp fluctuate too much.
