What does tail rot look like? Any pictures?

It can also present at the very beginning as a loss of the points on their spikes, and then in extreme untreated conditions, with open sores where the skin has "rotted" away. This sort of thing I believe happens most under unshed skin where water has gotten trapped for an extended period of time. I believe once it is identified, in moderate cases a topical antibiotic will clear it up, in extreme cases more care is needed though. As always, a Vet's opinion should be sought though.
