Has anyone ever heard of this?

cornsrule Oct 31, 2005 02:24 PM

I was out with my corn last week and ran across a man from India who lives near me. He was shocked to see me with a snake. He said only professionals handle snakes where he's from, as most of them are dangerous. He was asking me all kinds of questions, and one was if I ever fed him milk. Apparently there have been multiple times in India where he's seen a snake curl around the hind legs of a cow and drink milk from the udder. I didn't think to ask what kind of snakes he saw doing this, but I've certainly never heard of it before. Has anyone else? Seems like it would be hilarious, assuming the cow isn't hurt.

All snakes are carnivours, they just don't occasionaly grab a dairy product or vegetable/fruit when they want to like us. So yeah I doubt it maybe He saw a guy doing it but thought it was a snake....

All snakes are not carnivorous. Check out the smooth and rough green snakes....

Well thats what they used to think the milksnake used to do , Drink the milk from cows, so the farmers used to kill them but soon found out they were wrong for doing so because there was a massive increase in rodents, they stoped killing the milksnakes and the rodent population's reduced, so the little milksnakes ended up welcome guest's to most farms.
