Bandara county Tx. locality. He's developing a nice silver sheen, especially on the last half of his body.

And of course when the lighting hits these guys a certain way, you can see burst of reds and some yellows showing through. Thanks for looking.

Looking great Steve.
Every time I see pics like these it makes me want to get the camera and get new pics.
I have many more corns and my "major" breeding projects are with my corns or creamsicles but I seriously can't think of a better snake then the bairdi.
Beautiful snakes. Fascinating transformation from juvenile to adult. Active in their habitats. Although sometimes a little nervous they don't tend to be biters. Good eaters. Very affordable.
To go with a topic above about predicting the look of a bairdi. I would have to think the look of both parents should give you a general idea but, in truth, I have never seen an ugly Bairds Rat Snake yet.
What can I say.
love them bairdis.....LOL

I agree with everything you said about bairds. Outstanding ratsnakes. Mine still to this day will rattle his tail when I first go to get him, but has never bitten or been aggressive.
As Jimmy said, the best thing is to know what the adult breeders look like, or else you can purchase an adult or sub-adult if there is a certain look you're after.

I'm quite happy with the way he's turning out. Now I have my sights on a nice Trans Peco Rat to add to my collection. It never ends. LOL
